Overview
The 2026 Nigeria New Energy and Power Industry Expo will be held from September 16 to 18, 2026, at the Lagos Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. This three-day professional exhibition will run concurrently with the International Lighting Expo, creating a premier platform that brings together top professionals from the global power and energy industry and offering Chinese enterprises a key gateway to the West African market.
Market Opportunities in West Africa
As Africa’s most populous nation and largest economy, Nigeria holds immense potential in the power sector. With a national electrification rate of only 55.4%, the country faces a massive power deficit, making off-grid lighting solutions particularly critical. Solar LED lamps and wide-voltage products have become mainstream choices in the local market. At the same time, rapid urbanization is driving surging demand for commercial, road, and landscape lighting upgrades in major cities such as Lagos and Abuja, while the penetration of smart lighting continues to rise. This edition of the expo focuses on the entire lighting industry chain, providing enterprises with a crucial opportunity to connect with core market resources in West Africa and capture emerging market dividends.
