Three-day event brought together over 200 companies from 28 countries; next edition scheduled for September 15-17, 2027
Lagos, September 18, 2026 — The Nigeria International Lighting Expo 2026 and the Nigeria New Energy and Power Industry Expo 2026 successfully concluded on September 18 at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The three-day event, featuring a dual-theme format of “Power & Energy + Lighting,” showcased the latest products, technologies, and solutions in West Africa’s energy and lighting industries, providing an efficient business matching platform for the regional market. The organizer also announced that the next edition has been scheduled for September 15-17, 2027.

According to preliminary statistics from the organizer, Zhongsheng International, this year’s expo brought together over 200 quality exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, and welcomed more than 8,000 professional visitors over the three-day period, covering sectors including engineering procurement, project development, channel distribution, government agencies, and industry organizations. International renowned brands such as DEYE, CTORCH, LONGI, AKT, LESSO, HTHIUM, Cworth, Felicity Solar, and ALLTOP showcased their products, with exhibits spanning the entire industry chain including power equipment, photovoltaic energy storage, LED lighting, intelligent control systems, solar street lights, and off-grid solutions.

During the expo, the Buyer-Seller Matchmaking Forum became a highlight of the event.
Multiple exhibitors reached cooperation intentions with local Nigerian buyers, engineering contractors, and distribution channels, with lively on-site negotiations. The organizer stated that the intended cooperation agreements and on-site transactions from this year’s expo will be further released in subsequent official reports. Following the momentum of the previous edition, which generated over 600 million Naira in transactions and intended orders, this year’s expo is expected to achieve new breakthroughs in the scale and quality of cooperation.
Several industry forums and technical seminars held concurrently were equally impressive.
Events including special discussions on power market reform and renewable energy financing, as well as the Women in Energy & Lighting Networking Forum, facilitated in-depth exchanges on topics such as industry policies, technological innovation, investment and financing opportunities, and sustainable development, providing important insights for the future development of West Africa’s energy and lighting industry.

The successful hosting of this year’s expo comes at a critical time when Nigeria’s energy transition and power access needs are rapidly rising. Nigeria’s total power generation capacity is only about 4.5 million kilowatts, while actual demand exceeds 20 million kilowatts, with over 86 million people still facing the challenge of no access to electricity. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s renewable energy market is expanding rapidly at a compound annual growth rate of over 25%, and the government plans to increase the share of renewable energy to 30% by 2030. The World Bank, under its 2026-2032 Country Partnership Framework, is promoting electricity access for over 32 million Nigerians. Policy benefits such as zero tariffs on photovoltaic energy storage equipment continue to be released, providing broad opportunities for Chinese and international enterprises to deepen their presence in the Nigerian market.
The organizer, Zhongsheng International, stated at the closing ceremony that the successful conclusion of this year’s expo further consolidated its position as one of the largest and most influential full-industry-chain exhibition platforms for energy and lighting in West Africa. The next edition has been officially scheduled and will be held on September 15-17, 2027, at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The organizer will continue to work with global exhibitors and partners to support the high-quality development of the energy and lighting industry in Nigeria and West Africa.

The 2026 Nigeria International Lighting Expo & New Energy and Power Industry Expo has hereby concluded successfully. We look forward to reuniting with industry colleagues in Lagos on September 15-17, 2027, to explore new opportunities in West Africa’s energy and lighting sector together.
